Dr. Thomas E. Cate was born in St. Joseph,
Missouri in 1959. He has two siblings, a twin brother and a sister, who both live in
Houston, TX. Dr. Cate's wife, Dee, is a Registered Nurse and he has two
beautiful daughters. Cassidy (23) attended OSU and is now in Medical
School studying to become a chiropractor. Mckenzie (21) attends OU and is studying to be a
psychologist. Dr. Cate and his family are active in church and attend The Church at
Battlecreek.
Dr. Cate is a former collegiate athlete and was on a full-ride
baseball scholarship for the first 3 years of Pre-Med. While he was in graduate school, Dr. Cate
was the Vice-President of his Junior Class and President of his Senior Class.
Dr.
Cate has been in practice for 25 years having earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from Texas
Chiropractic College. His chiropractic method is the utilization of diversified
techniques including "hands on" manipulation. Dr. Cate also specializes in upper
cervical, activator, and SOT methods and is trained to perform a number of
other specialized techniques when the situation is warranted. A wide
variety of therapy modalities (forms) are used to help facilitate healing and get you feeling
well again.
You
may have heard Dr. Cate on the radio. For more than 22 years, he hosted a live call-in
radio show, "Health Review", weekly on Tulsa's KFCO AM 970 radio station. He
has also consistently advertised on K95 FM, KCFO AM 970, and KFAQ 1170 AM in Tulsa. Dr.
Cate has completed all continuing education requirements required annually for license renewal
and has earned a number of additional certifications above and beyond what is required
annually. Dr. Cate holds a license from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners
and is licensed to practice in Oklahoma and Texas.
When Dr. Cate isn't assisting
patients, he enjoys spending time with his family and raises Quarter Horses for
reining, roping, and Western Pleasure. He is also an avid hunter and fisherman and has
traveled the world over.
